New for 2017 is a Family and Relationship Series featuring webinars, seminars and workshops.
Communication Skills for Families
This webinar is being held on two different days at two different times to accommodate your busy schedules.
Communication is a fine art that we often take for granted. It takes more than physical and verbal abilities to communicate. It takes energy along with the ability to offer support and demonstrate understanding and compassion when communicating within your family. Whether it’s an expectation, emotion, question or other message, openness and willingness to communicate improves overall quality of family communication.
Parents and anyone interested in improving their communication skills
Physician Marriage Workshop (Cancelled)
Physicians married to other physicians or with partners in any professions face challenges revolving around work-life balance. This is true for many people in demanding careers, but few careers are as all-consuming as health care. It’s not only the work hours, but physicians pour so much of themselves into their work — their passion, their devotion, even their emotions — that there is often little left at the end of the day for outside pursuits and for putting effort into relationships. If both partners are consumed in this way, it makes relationships all the more challenging.
Make plans to attend the 2017 Doctors Manitoba physician marriage/relationship workshop. Eileen Daly from ComPsych will be the workshop moderator. The workshop will feature 3 couples in various stages of their careers who will share their learnings and insights into seeking a balanced work life, family and marriage.
