Greetings from your Physician Health and Wellness Committee! We are excited to continue promoting better health and wellness for Manitoba’s doctors. This website was created for physicians by physicians. We are currently updating the website with new material and we want your input.

We want to hear from our members about your experiences and to share your stories. Do you have a wellness event that you want to promote? Send us the details. Is there a health and wellness programs that you need or want? Contact us here.

In the upcoming months, several new workshops will be offered:

Details on the workshops are posted here. Each workshop will be held at the Doctors Manitoba building, located at 20 Desjardins Drive. Contact Barry Hallman at (204) 985-5865 or email him at bhallman@docsmb.org to register for any of the workshops.

The 4th Canadian Conference on Physician Health will be held in Winnipeg at the Delta Hotel on October 16-17, 2015. The conference is held in Canada every two years and alternates with the International Conference on Physician Health. This year’s scientific program will feature sessions that integrate best practices on how to improve physician health, promote the latest research on physician health and wellness issues, and analyze the different concepts of physician health and well being. The health program will feature a Fun Run or Walk the Doc, mindfulness sessions, and ample networking opportunities. The evening welcome reception will be held at one of Winnipeg’s newest landmark institutions – can you guess where? Check back on this website in the next few months for more details. Registration will open in late Spring 2015.

Doctors Manitoba is also working on an exciting new initiative to benefit the health and wellness of our members and will announce details later this year. Stay tuned!
